KeyBank Supports American Heart Association through Go Red For Women and Little Hats, Big Hearts
KeyBank employees came together this February to volunteer their time by knitting more than 350 little red knit hats for babies born in birthing centers and hospital in Oregon and SW Washington. Called Little Hats, Big Hearts, the campaign is part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women initiative and will help spread awareness about congenital heart disease.
Cardiovascular disease kills one in three women and Go Red uses passionate social initiative to spread awareness, and inspire positive changes that make a difference in the lives of women and their families.
KeyBank Helps Communities Thrive
Empowering people to take charge and make steps for positive change in their lives is part of KeyBank’s mission, so working with AHA on Go Red For Women been a natural fit.

KeyBank employees banded together, formed the "Little Hats Brigade" and knitted more than 350 little red hats. This effort brought employees together as they spent gathered during lunch and used other outside gathering times to knit for a purpose.
Key than cleaned, packaged the hats along with information about the initiative and delivered them to area birthing centers and hospitals.
Positive Outcomes Expected
For 2018, AHA received more than 200,000 hats for Little Hats, Big Hearts. Key is proud to have been a part of that success, and happy to continue to support additional Go Red for Women initiatives.
With the help of Go Red, more than 2 million women have learned their personal risk of developing heart disease by taking the Go Red Heart CheckUp; more than 200,000 healthcare provider offices have received critical patient information on women and heart disease; and more than 900,000 women have joined and now receive important information that allows them to take action to improve their health.
