Craig Buffie served as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for KeyCorp from February 2013 through May 2018. He will retire from KeyCorp in September 2018. As CHRO, Craig was responsible for talent management, talent acquisition, leadership development, training, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation and benefits. In 2016, Craig worked full time as a member of KeyCorp’s First Niagara Merger Integration Leadership Team.

Craig is a member of The Cleveland Play House Board of Directors and is active in the Center for Arts Inspired Learning. Prior to joining KeyCorp in February 2013, Craig served in numerous human resources executive positions supporting the corporate and investment bank, the consumer bank, technology and operations and all overseas business during his 27-year career at Bank of America. He was Head of Home Loan Sales and Fulfillment for Bank of America and served on the company’s Management Operating Committee.

Craig holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and a bachelor's degree in Economics from Penn State University. He served on the Kelley School of Business Board of Advisors at Indiana University. He also served as President of the Youth Homes Board of Directors. Craig is a 2003 member of the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team and was a four-year letterman and two-year Captain of the Penn State Basketball Team.
