Robert A. DeAngelis is an Executive Vice President and leads Key's Quality and Productivity Management organization, including the Enterprise Continuous Improvement and Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) teams. In this role, DeAngelis works with Key's businesses to drive continuous process improvement to simplify business processes and enhance the client experience. Additionally, through the EPMO, he provides business leadership in the development and execution of critical enterprise-wide change programs required to realize Key's strategic priorities.

Most recently, DeAngelis was a member of Key’s Merger Integration Leadership Team, leading the Transition Program Office associated with Key’s $4.1 Billion acquisition of First Niagara Corporation. In this capacity, he was accountable for developing and overseeing the effective execution of the overall Merger Integration Plan related to converting First Niagara customers, employees, and systems to Key. Prior to the First Niagara Merger, he led Key's Marketing, Client Insights and Data Management organization, providing business leadership to the development and execution of client analytics and marketing programs in support of Key's growth strategies.

DeAngelis originally joined Key as Consumer Bank Segment Leader for Key Community Banking. He was responsible for developing client strategies and programs for Consumer and Small Business, collaborating closely with Community Banking's district leaders to integrate these strategies with their marketplace activities.

Prior to joining Key, DeAngelis had a 12-year career with Wachovia Corporation and its predecessors in a range of leadership roles. He was instrumental in developing and executing its retail customer strategy, focused on insight-driven client segmentation, cross-selling, retention and brand optimization. He also introduced a variety of advanced analytics and process improvements that generated revenue growth and enhanced operating efficiency. Previous to Wachovia, he also had a successful consulting career with KPMG in their Financial Services and Corporate Transaction Services practices in Detroit and Chicago.

DeAngelis earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

In joining Key, DeAngelis returned to the Cleveland area where he resided as a youth. He supports a variety of local organizations, serving in leadership roles on the Board of Directors of the MetroHealth Foundation and the Positive Education Program (PEP).
