Kate Terrell is Chief Administrative Officer, Banking and is a member of Key's Executive Council and Executive Leadership Team. Kate and the CAO team are responsible for enabling Key’s businesses to optimize performance and improve the employee and client experience. These functions include: ensuring our sales and servicing platforms represent the needs of our user community, servicing of our Commercial clients, maintaining our business review routines, developing and maintaining various sales tools, maintaining our Client Centricity framework including Voice of Employee and Client feedback mechanisms, Key Appreciation, Employee Banking, and our Enterprise Continuous Improvement efforts.

Previously, Kate has held a variety of human resource leadership positions including: Chief HR Officer, Director of Compensation and Benefits, Director of Talent Acquisition, and Director of Sound Compensation Practices.

Prior to joining Human Resources, Kate was the Chief Financial Officer of Key’s Community Bank. During Kate’s career, she had various CFO responsibilities within KeyCorp. Additionally, Kate was the Chief Administrative Officer of Key National Banking and worked as the Accounting Operations Manager for KeyBank, N.A.

Kate holds an MBA with concentrations in Organizational Behavior and Labor and Human Resource Policy from Case Western University’s Weatherhead School of Management. Kate’s undergraduate degree is in Accounting from the University of Dayton and she is a CPA.

Kate is also actively involved as a board member for a few not-for-profit organizations: Kinnect, whose goal is to find permanent families for youth in foster care, Towards Employment who empowers individuals to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through employment, and University Hospital’s Women’s and Children’s medical center in Cleveland.
