Employment projections for Northeast Ohio show a critical need for protective service personnel, with nearly 1,500 job openings expected each year through 2022. Through a grant from KeyBank, Cuyahoga County Community College launched an initiative to address the projected gap with a focus on hiring women and minorities. The program was recently highlighted in a feature presentation by WorkingNation.
Founded by venture capitalist Art Bilger, WorkingNation focuses on unemployment issues and identifying solutions. The organization has partnered with Academy Award-winning directors and producers to create a wide range of compelling programming that explains the high stakes of structural unemployment and investigates potential solutions to the problem.
