On December 19, 2018, KeyBanc Capital Markets, Inc. (“KBCM”) successfully completed the sale of Plymouth Rock Energy (“PRE”), a portfolio company of MVC Capital, Inc. (NYSE: MVC) to ENGIE Resources (“ENGIE”) a subsidiary of ENGIE SA (ENXTPA: ENGI).
PRE engaged KBCM to serve as exclusive sell-side advisor based on its industry-leading Utilities practice and proven M&A execution capabilities. KBCM conducted a robust marketing process comprised of both strategic buyers and financial sponsors, which resulted in a premium valuation and exceptional terms for PRE shareholders.
