Enabling JavaScript on Popular Browsers
Internet Explorer®
Applicable for most Internet Explorer versions - visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us for more information
- On the menu bar click on Tools then Internet Options
- From Internet Options select the Security tab
- Click Custom Level
- Scroll down to Scripting and make sure Active Scripting is set to /Enable
- Click OK
- Click Yes or OK when asked Are you sure you wish to change the security settings for this zone?
- Click OK on the Internet Properties window
- Close all open Internet Explorer browser windows and then relaunch Internet Explorer
Firefox®
Applicable for most Firefox versions - visit https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/ for more information
For Firefox versions below 61.0.1:
- On the menu bar click on Tools then Options
- From Options select Content
- Make sure that Enable JavaScript has been checked
- Click OK on the Options window
- Close all open Firefox browser windows and then relaunch Firefox
For versions 61.0.1 and above, Firefox enables the use of JavaScript by default and requires no additional installation
Safari®
Applicable for most Safari versions - visit https://support.apple.com/safari for more information
- On the menu bar click on Safari then Preferences
- From Preferences select Security
- Make sure that Enable JavaScript has been checked
- Close the Preferences window
- Close all open Safari browser windows and then relaunch Safari
Chrome™
Applicable for most Chrome versions - visit https://support.google.com/chrome/ for more information
For Chrome versions below 69.0.3:
- On the menu bar click on Customize (wrench icon) then Options
- From the Google Chrome Options panel select Under the Hood
- Select Content settings...
- Select JavaScript from Features list
- Make sure that Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) has been checked
- Close all open Chrome browser windows and then relaunch Chrome
For Chrome versions 69.0.3 and later:
- On the menu bar click on Settings
- From Settings select Privacy and security under Advanced and then Content settings
- Select JavaScript from Features list
- Make sure that Allowed (recommended) has been turned on
- Close all open Chrome browser windows and then relaunch Chrome
