About Joel T. Redmond
As the Managing Director of Key Family Wealth’s Business Advisory Services unit, Joel leads the team responsible for creating, delivering, and implementing specialized advice to private business owners in the arenas of owner orienteering, transaction coaching, and transitional tax and wealth planning. In attempting to disseminate this advice to the broadest possible audience, Joel and his team also drive collaboration efforts between BAS and its KPB market partners nationwide, as well as its commercial banking and capital markets partners.
Prior to joining Key, Joel worked at Wells Fargo Advisors as a general securities and investment advisor representative, with a specialty in new and secondary offerings. He also spent time teaching prep courses for the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams.
Joel earned a BA in English and General Literature from Binghamton University. He is an adjunct corporate finance instructor in the online MBA program at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, the former president of CFA Society Rochester, a former CFP Board Ambassador, and a former journalist who has authored multiple finance publications. He holds the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst designation from Corporate Finance Institute, as well as the Accredited in Business Valuation credential from the AICPA. He lives in Central New York.
