What is the Talent Network?

Key's Talent Network is a group of individuals who have elected to receive relevant job alerts via email as they are posted. It's the easiest way to stay up to speed on the latest opportunities in your area of expertise. Just fill out the form and start receiving alerts.

How do I stop receiving Talent Network alerts?

You can cancel any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of one of the emails.

Can existing Key team members sign up for job alerts?

Existing Key team members can visit HR Online and select “Search for Jobs” under the Careers & Development tab. Conduct a search for relevant jobs. Once your search results are generated, click on “Save this search” in the top right corner. This feature will allow you to set up job alerts.

How do I apply?

I’m already a Key team member; where do I apply?

Current Key employees should apply through the internal site via HR Online. Go to the "Careers & Development" tab and select "Search for Jobs".

Can I apply for more than one job?

Yes, we encourage you to explore our career areas and apply to positions for which you are most qualified.

Do I have to submit a resumé to apply?

You don’t have to submit a resumé, but you are encouraged to do so for your benefit. Uploading a resumé makes the application process easier because our application system parses the information so you don’t have to fill it out manually on the application. Also, a resumé can help our recruiters get a better understanding of your experience and qualifications.

Can I just submit a resumé, or do I have to apply?

To be considered an official applicant at Key, you do need to complete our online employment application. We have designed our application to be as simple and user-friendly as possible. It shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to complete.

If you forgot your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link and enter either the email address you registered with or your username. A password recovery email will then be sent to that address. If you did not enter a contact email address for your profile, you can answer the security question you selected and reset your password in that screen.

Military/Veteran

I am a veteran with management and leadership experience, but no industry experience. Should I apply?

We hire people from a variety of backgrounds and strive for diversity among our team members. We strongly encourage veterans to apply. Management and leadership experience gained through military service is always considered along with other relevant job qualifications.

As a recently discharged service member, I don’t have a college degree. Will Key consider me for a position?

Position requirements vary widely, but not all our roles require a college degree.

I’ve been invited to a super interview day; what is that?

A super interview day is considered a final-round interview for students going through campus recruiting with Key. This is an opportunity for final-round candidates to meet with leaders, program managers and recruiters. Many super interview days consist of multiple rounds of interviewing, but some might also include a case study, a technical interview or a group activity as part of the day. There will likely be multiple candidates interviewing at the same time, and some campus programs might host a dinner or networking event the night before as well. Your recruiter will notify you if you are selected to attend a super interview day. Please ask your recruiter for more details about what the day will entail.

How can I prepare for an interview?

To prepare for an upcoming interview, you should spend time researching the company and the role you are pursuing. You should ensure you understand the business need for the role and be able to convey your interest. Be prepared to discuss your background as directed by your resumé. Additionally, reach out to professionals you have met at Key to ask questions about the role and the expectations of our interns.

When do you begin recruiting interns?

We begin intern recruiting in mid- to late August and are on campus through the fall. From there, interviews are typically held toward the end of September through early December. The length of time can vary based on the line of business.

Do you only recruit from certain schools?

No, we accept resumés from all campuses, but we have a strong campus footprint at select universities. If Key does not attend your school's career fair, we still recruit on your campus and invite you to apply to our internship programs. If you are wondering if Key actively visits your school, please reach out to your career center on campus.

How long is a Key internship? Where are the internships located?

Key summer internships are 10-12 weeks (depending on the program), beginning in June and ending in August. Most of our internships are located at our headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. A smaller percentage of internships are in our satellite offices and branches in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Kansas City, etc. The location of the internship is dependent on the line of business representation in the office.

Does Key offer internship housing or relocation?

No, Key does not provide housing for interns. However, we can recommend locations for interns to rent. We do provide relocation assistance for full-time analysts. This will vary by role and location. Please ask the recruiter for additional details.

Does Key provide employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa)?

Key does not sponsor employment visas for internship positions.

Am I able to get course credit for my internship?

It is possible to get course credit for your internship if it meets certain requirements, so please contact your program manager or recruiter if you need to discuss this further.

Does Key hire non-finance majors?

Yes. Key hires interns from all backgrounds and majors beyond finance. Our internship opportunities are open to students of all majors.

Can a summer internship lead to a full-time opportunity?

Yes, after successful completion and strong performance of a Key summer internship, you may be offered a full-time role to join Key following graduation.

If I interned this year, can I come back next year to intern again?

If you are interning as a sophomore, you may have the opportunity to intern again in the same or a different department. If you are interning as a junior you may be able to come back as an intern or an analyst in the same or different department. As part of the program, interns are given the chance to learn about and meet with managers from lines of business outside of their current program. In some instances, interns are able to interview for other programs during their internship either for a second internship or for full-time analyst placements. In other cases, interns may be invited to interview for second internships/full-time analyst placements as part of the fall recruiting cycle.

If you are a candidate who has accepted an offer of employment with Key and need to request an accommodation before your first day at Key, you may express your need for an accommodation informally via conversation or email to your recruiter, or, formally through email to Key’s Human Resources Compliance team. When completing the accommodations request process for employment, you will be asked to provide medical information to support the request. Supporting medical information will be kept confidential with access strictly limited to the Clinical Consultant in Key’s Human Resources department. Once medical information has been provided, Key’s Clinical Consultant will contact you for next steps.

My accommodation request is for religious reasons. Do I need to follow a different process to submit my request?

The process for requesting a religious accommodation would be the same. You may request a formal reasonable religious accommodation by email, or you may also express your need for an accommodation informally, via conversation or email, to your recruiter.
