Internal Audit provides an independent perspective on Key's processes and risks.

As a trusted advisor, the Internal Audit makes recommendations for improvement, monitors remediation efforts, and helps to ensure adequate risk management practices are followed. Reporting is provided to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and associated committees, executive and Line of Business management, and regulators. Placement opportunities include: Lending, Deposits, Consumer Compliance, AML/BSA, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Technology, and more.

About the internship

The internship spans approximately 10 weeks in the summer. As an intern, you will gain experience working on various audit projects and work closely with seasoned professionals to develop your skills as an auditor. Interns will have the opportunity to understand various lines of business across Key and interact with leaders within these departments. Placement for Internal Audit Interns may be in one or more of the following areas: Lending, Deposits, Consumer Compliance, AML/BSA, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Technology, and more.

  • Summer culminates with case study presentation to Audit leadership team
  • Consideration for full-time placement into the Internal Audit Rotational Analyst Program (after graduation) based on performance during internship

What are we looking for?

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate program with coursework in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related business programs
  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Relevant work or internship experience
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities
