Corporate & Investment Banking
KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) is one of the largest business units within Key Corporate Bank and is KeyCorp's full-service corporate and investment bank, serving dynamic emerging-growth and middle-market companies and financial sponsors. Internships are available in KBCM's Corporate and Investment Banking division within the following groups: Consumer & Retail, Corporate Banking, Financial Sponsors, Healthcare, Industrial, Mergers & Acquisitions, Oil & Gas, Public Finance, Real Estate, Technology, and Utilities, Power & Renewable Energy. KBCM also hires interns in its Debt Capital Markets group, which is focused on debt-side investment banking, sales, trading, and distribution.
The Commercial Bank Rotational Analyst Program is a two-year experience within KeyBank's Commercial Bank, serving middle market and institutional clients. Through three cohort tracks — Business Development: Banker, Business Development: Payments, and Product, Risk & Operations — analysts gain broad exposure to commercial banking while working alongside business leaders and industry experts to build the skills and cross-bank network needed to deliver meaningful impact for KeyBank's clients and communities.
Business
As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will join underwriting and portfolio manager professionals in the assessment of a company’s creditworthiness by reviewing a business’s financial statements, determining degrees of risk, preparing credit approvals with recommendations, and continuously tracking existing clients to ensure their ongoing financial health and compliance with lending agreements. At the conclusion of the program, analysts may be placed in one of KeyBank’s commercial or specialty underwriting or portfolio management teams.

During the program, you will assist in the development of financial projections and financial operations, build and utilize financial models, prepare and analyze financial reports, and measure performance of a line of business. Opportunities for placement include: Business Finance, Planning and Performance Management, Investor Relations, Corporate Treasury, Tax and Corporate Strategy.
The HR Analytics Rotational Analyst Program is a multi-month, immersive experience designed to develop future HR leaders with strong analytical, project management, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
KeyBank’s marketing team delivers fresh ideas that help bring strategic plans to life and speak to our customers, prospects, company, and core principles.
The Risk Management Program is designed to build KeyBank risk professionals through training, work experiences, cross-functional experiences, and robust feedback and performance management. The Risk Management division works to assess and monitor risk and risk control processes across all risk areas. Such work involves data analytics and reporting, practical experience with risk topics and loss events, quality assurance and control testing, credit analysis, practical application of laws and regulations, and regulatory reporting.
Internal Audit provides an independent perspective on Key's processes and risks. As a trusted advisor, the Internal Audit makes recommendations for improvement, monitors remediation efforts, and helps to ensure adequate risk management practices are followed. Reporting is provided to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and associated committees, executive and Line of Business management, and regulators. Placement opportunities include: Operational/Finance Audit, Model, and Technology Audit.
Strategy & Analytics
Quantitative Modeling and Analytics Rotational Analyst employees will receive training in a variety of business units of the bank, including Risk Management, Enterprise Business Analytics, Management Information and Reporting, and lines of businesses.
