We’re making it official! In March of 2026, Laurel Road will be joining the KeyBank name and banking platforms to enhance your overall banking experience. You’ll benefit from the combined strengths of a convenient digital experience and full-service banking. You’ll also gain access to a broader suite of financial solutions designed to help you save, borrow, and plan for the future.
As part of this process, your existing Laurel Road checking, savings, and/or credit card accounts will transition to similar KeyBank accounts. Personal loan, mortgage, and student loan accounts will simply transition to Key’s online and mobile banking, since they are already KeyBank accounts.
These changes will take place automatically. There is nothing you need to do at this time, and you may continue using your accounts as usual. Please note that we are not selling or transferring your account(s) to another financial institution. We’re simply unifying all accounts under the KeyBank name.
We’re committed to providing you with a seamless banking experience throughout this transition and keeping you informed every step of the way.
Important dates to keep in mind
- Right now: Continue to bank as you normally do, using your same account(s) and online banking.
- Now through March 16: Carefully review the account agreements available in your online banking Doc Hub (for deposit accounts) or as received in the mail (for credit card), as well as any additional notices KeyBank sends you.
- March 13 – 15: Your account(s) will transition over this weekend. Please note that access to your Laurel Road online banking or mobile app may be unavailable during this period.
- Checking, savings, and credit card accounts: You’ll still have full access to your funds and be able to use any Laurel Road checks, debit card, or credit card you may have.
- Personal loan and mortgage accounts: Any loan payments can be made on or before March 13 or on March 16 and will be posted accordingly.
- Student loan accounts: You can continue to make student loan payments through MOHELA® during this time.
