June 24, 2015: How "Equity Expertise" Can Boost a Corporate or Entrepreneurial Career For Women

Speaker: Susan Schreter, CEO of Start on Purpose

Description:
Why is it that a money-losing business can be worth millions or billions and a consistently profitable business worth next to nothing?

Private equity veteran Susan Schreter will summarize the most important factors that can increase or decrease the value of a business at the time of business sale. This information is crucial for women who are thinking about starting a business or one day hope to sell their companies. Her insights will include often overlooked nonfinancial statement components that can boost the value of any type of business in America.

Susan will also address how women's networks don't talk about business value and M & A activity and the impact of this reality on entrepreneurial aspirations, board of directors nominations and corporate advancement. She will also highlight how women can embrace an opportunistic M & A mindset to enhance their corporate careers.

As a frequent on air, online and workshop speaker on all things finance, Susan's can-do approach makes seemingly complex financial subjects easy and empowering. Two randomly selected participants will receive a copy of Susan's book, Start on Purpose, after the call.
