TONYA TIGGETT, CEO, CSS, Promoting University, LLC and Speaking Our Language, LLC has built a career around helping others develop the fine art of business conversation too. With over 20 years experience in the learning and development field in public schools, higher education and with JP Morgan Chase, Tonya led programs in both English and Spanish, reaching thousands of colleagues and was twice named an ICON winner.

It was during her corporate tenure that Tonya realized the number one obstacle many professionals faced, including herself at times, was being able to speak up in business settings and establish one’s value at work. This critical skill spurred Tonya to overcome that obstacle and to create a communication training company called Promoting University, LLC.

In the past two years Tonya has inspired over 1,300 professionals and 20 organizations to increase their confidence, take ownership of their communications, and realize amazing career results through the Promoting U! Career Common CENTS™ formula and other Promoting University professional development communication programs.

Tonya is proudly serving her third board term with the national non-profit Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) which provides leadership programs to over 750 members in Central Ohio and Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition to her WELD volunteer work, Tonya provides mentorship through the Latina Mentoring Academy, serves as an MBA Adjunct Faculty member at The Ohio State University, and volunteers with the Upper Arlington Mat Cubs Youth Wrestling program annually.
