We’re committed to your success.
Our pledge: 1,000 hours of mentoring throughout October.

Business classes. Leadership books. How-to podcasts. Networking events. Those sources only go so far in helping you understand how to grow your business and accelerate your career. To recognize October’s National Women’s Small Business Month, Key4Women is providing 1,000 hours of coaching, connecting you with a mentor. Request a mentor.

Having the right mentor can help you take your career to the next level.

We’ve brought together entrepreneurs and business leaders dedicated to guiding you toward success with your professional goals. Three of the nearly 200 mentors who are part of this initiative share their insights on the power of mentoring.

“I have had great mentors throughout my career who are still important members of my network. Mentoring gives me the chance to pay it forward – and it helps me see the world through different lenses as well.”

Barb Smith, Director of Key4Women

“Throughout my career, mentors have helped guide me to achievements beyond my expectations. I appreciate the opportunity to mentor others so I can share what I have learned, and what has been shared with me.”

Kim Manigault, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, KeyBank

“I’ve been blessed with incredible mentors and try to return the favor by helping others grow. And, I always learn something important from them! Truly, mentoring is a rewarding experience for all involved.”

Dennis Devine, Co-President of Key Community Bank

About the Initiative

Do I need to be a Key4Women member to request a mentor?

Yes. Key4Women is a program offered through KeyBank to help advocate for, connect and empower women business owners. The mentoring program is just one piece of Key4Women’s overall effort to benefit women in business on their journey to financial confidence. We want to ensure you receive additional resources to help you reach your goals through communications from Key4Women. It’s simple and fast to sign up.

How is my mentor chosen?

A dedicated group from KeyBank’s Key4Women team reviews each request to match it with the appropriate mentor. We do our best to pair you with a mentor based on your responses to the request questions.

Who are the mentors?

KeyBank has a growing list of entrepreneurs and business leaders who’ve pledged their time to support this initiative. We anticipate around 200 mentors will take part in the effort and we’re grateful for their support.

When will my mentor contact me?

We’ll contact you within five business days to confirm that you’ve been matched with a mentor. We’ll also pass along your name and information to the mentor. We then leave it up to you and your mentor to connect with one another.

Where and when does the mentoring take place?

That’s up to you and your mentor! Typically, however, the mentoring will take place by phone. While we’d encourage you and your mentor to arrange for your coaching session in October, we leave that up to you.

Can I sign up for more than one mentoring session?

At this time, we can only match you to one mentor for an hour-long session. But please look for additional resources on thriving in the workplace through Key4Women’s regular updates to members.

I’m having trouble completing the form; who should I contact?
