Summary
KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) served as Exclusive Sell-Side Advisor to Longroad Energy (Longroad) on its divestiture of a 143 MW portfolio of operating solar projects to EDP Renewables NA Distributed Generation LLC. The portfolio consists of 386 behind-the-meter projects located across 14 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. The portfolio sells energy to a diverse group of commercial and industrial, municipal and utility customers.
Founded in 2016, Longroad Energy is focused on wind, solar, and energy storage project development and operation. Today, Longroad owns 1.6 GW of renewable energy projects across the United States and manages a total of 3.4 GW of wind and solar projects on behalf of Longroad and third parties.
EDP Renewables NA Distributed Generation is a wholly owned subsidiary of EDP Renewables North America, which owns and operates more than 8.2 GW of wind and solar projects across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. With more than 500 projects across 16 states, the company is one of the largest owners and operators of distributed generation assets in the U.S.
