Joe DeRoy

Joe DeRoy, Jr. is responsible for executing investment strategies and co-leads portfolio management for the Fund and KIM. Mr. DeRoy is a member of the Board of Managers and the Investment Committee.

Mr. DeRoy is also a Senior Vice President and the CMBS Program Leader in the Real Estate Capital Markets group at KeyBank. Mr. DeRoy has extensive experience in implementing and executing KeyBank’s CMBS strategy, including loan screening, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and securitization. Additionally, Mr. DeRoy has a strong background in credit, developed over years as the lead line of business member of KeyBank’s CMBS Credit Committee. Prior to joining Key, Mr. DeRoy was a Director of Commercial Mortgage Securities at Fitch Ratings in Chicago. He also served as an Associate with Ernst & Young LLP’s Structured Finance Advisory Services group in New York City.

Mr. DeRoy earned a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. DeRoy also serves on the Whitman Real Estate Advisory Board and is a regular speaker for Whitman’s Real Estate program.
