Carl McCarden is a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Sponsor Coverage at Cain Brothers/KeyBanc Capital Markets, which he joined in 2021. Based in Atlanta, he has over 20 years of investment banking experience and specializes in advising private equity clients in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, debt capital markets, and equity capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Cain Brothers/KeyBanc Capital Markets, he launched and led J.P. Morgan’s Healthcare Sponsor Coverage efforts. Carl also led Medical Device and Healthcare IT coverage at Citizens Financial Group, co-led the Western Region for the Healthcare Financial Services group at GE Capital, and worked in the investment banking groups at Credit Suisse and Bear Stearns.
Carl earned his AB from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
