Keith Buchanan

Keith Buchanan joined KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) in 2015 and is a Managing Director and Group Head of the Oil & Gas Investment Banking Group based in Houston. Keith is responsible for client coverage, business development, and overall management of KBCM’s relationships with oil and gas companies. During his career, he has worked with numerous companies throughout the energy industry on strategic advisory and capital-raising assignments including initial public offerings, debt and equity capital markets, leveraged finance, structured transactions, hedging alternatives, and loan syndications. His transaction expertise ranges from supporting companies at the emerging start-up stage to corporate financing transactions for publicly traded entities.

Prior to joining KeyBanc Capital Markets, Keith gained more than 25 years of experience in corporate and investment banking specializing in client relationship management and capital-raising transactions in the public and private markets. He most recently spent 9 years with Scotiabank as a Managing Director and Head of U.S. E&P and previously spent 15 years with Bank of America in their Energy and Power Group responsible for coverage of clients in the oil and gas, midstream, and power sectors.

Keith earned his M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
