Nicholas Stuart

Nicholas Stuart is a Managing Director in the Energy group at KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM). He delivers strategic advice to energy clients and has executed more than 100 advisory and capital markets transactions for energy companies. Prior to joining KBCM in June of 2012, Nicholas was a Vice President in the Energy Investment Banking Group for Stifel Nicolaus for six years. He began his career spanning four years with KPMG LLP’s audit practice in Washington, DC, covering a variety of sectors including natural resources.

Nicholas earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business. As a component of his graduate studies, he attended the China-European International Business School in Shanghai, China, and briefly worked in the China studies group of DaimlerChrysler.

Nicholas is a Certified Public Accountant (not in public practice), holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, and is an Eagle Scout. He is also President of the Houston Energy Finance Group. In addition to his professional career, he serves as a member of the Houston Arts Alliance Board of Directors and is consistently a top 1% fundraiser for the MS 150 charitable cycling event in Houston.
