The Sponsor, Alta-Northstar Senior Living, selected a five-year term with an earnout at first mortgage pricing with a national Life Company.

KeyBank Real Estate Capital has arranged $185 million in new Freddie Mac loans for Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: BKD). Acting proactively, KeyBank and Brookdale refinanced pending 2027 debt maturities of Brookdale into new fixed-rate financing at an attractive rate of 5.38%. The new Freddie Mac debt is secured by seven seniors housing communities located on the West Coast. “Brookdale continues to address its debt maturities proactively, and this refinancing extends a portion of our 2027 maturities by six years to 2033 at economically similar terms,” said Dawn Kussow, Brookdale’s Chief Financial Officer. “This refinancing demonstrates the continued confidence our lending partners have in Brookdale’s business, communities, and long-term strategy. We extend our gratitude to Freddie Mac and KeyBank for their continued support and partnership.”

KeyBank Real Estate Capital and Blueprint Healthcare Real Estate provided $11 million in acquisition financing for The Villages of Windcrest, an 81-unit assisted living and memory care facility in Fredericksburg, Texas. The Sponsor, Senior Living Transformation Company (SLTC), selected a five-year term with an earnout at first mortgage pricing with a national Life Company.

On July 8, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed on the syndication of a $250 million Revolving Credit Facility and $400 million Term Loan B, in addition to the offering of $450 million of Senior Secured Notes (together, the Credit Facilities) for American Greetings Corporation (American Greetings or the Company), a portfolio company of Elliott Management (Elliott) and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R). Proceeds from the Credit Facilities will be used to refinance the Company’s existing Term Loan B, repay outstanding Revolving Credit Facility borrowings and pay transaction fees and expenses. KBCM acted as Joint Lead Arranger and Joint Bookrunner on the transaction.

In July 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM), in collaboration with KeyBank Real Estate Capital, successfully structured and closed a $112 million senior secured loan facility for 155 Jefferson Street Urban Renewal LLC, the owner and landlord of the Newark School of Architecture & Interior Design in Newark, New Jersey. KBCM served as Sole Lead Arranger on the transaction.

The loan proceeds were used to refinance the property's existing debt and fund the remaining construction costs associated with Phase 2 of the project, which includes a gymnasium and auditorium facility adjacent to the academic building. The school is currently operational and serving students, while completion of Phase 2 is expected to trigger commencement of full rental payments under the lease agreement. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.

155 Jefferson Street Urban Renewal LLC is an affiliate of Summit Assets and Winchester Equities — New York-based real estate developers and owner-operators. The sponsors developed the school through a public-private partnership structure under which Newark Public Schools leases the facility for a 30-year term, with an option to purchase the property for $1 at lease maturity. The lease is supported by the A- rated credit profile of the Board of Education of the City of Newark, New Jersey, providing a strong underlying credit foundation for the transaction.

Newark School of Architecture & Interior Design is a newly constructed public high school focused on career and technical education, offering programs in architecture, engineering, interior design, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, and real estate.

On July 1, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Joint Bookrunner on Forgent Power Solutions, Inc.’s (Forgent) $2.5 billion Follow-On Offering of 50,197,500 shares, including overallotment.

KeyBanc Capital Markets and Cain Brothers, a division of KeyBanc Capital Markets, acted as Active Joint Bookrunner for VSP Optical Group’s $1 billion public bond issuance.

After completing their inaugural bond offering in November 2025, VSP announced a second offering in May. Over a one-day marketing period and utilizing a pre-recorded presentation, the company garnered over $7.6 billion of orders and priced $500 million of seven-year and $500 million of 10-year Senior Unsecured Notes with no new issue concession. Prospect Power is owned by Elevate Infrastructure, a portfolio company of ArcLight Capital Partners. The facilities include a $154 million term loan and $19.4 million in letters of credit. Proceeds will be used to support the operating period of the project. KBCM acted as Joint Lead Arranger, Administrative Agent, Collateral Agent and Depository Bank.

This represents the first transaction between Elevate and KBCM.

Acting as Sole Lender, KeyBank structured a comprehensive financing solution designed to refinance existing debt, optimize SPG’s capital structure, and provide the liquidity needed to support ongoing growth and operational expansion.

The financing package included a Term Loan, Delayed Draw Term Loan, Revolving Line of Credit, and Equipment Finance Line, providing SPG with the flexibility to fund working capital needs, invest in strategic initiatives, and pursue future opportunities. In addition to financing, KeyBank will provide a full suite of banking services, including treasury management, merchant services, deposits, and payments advisory.

Through this transaction, SPG gains access to the financial resources and strategic banking capabilities needed to continue scaling its platform and expanding access to high-quality dental care nationwide.

On May 26, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Co-Manager on a $500 million Senior Notes offering for PBF Energy Inc. Proceeds will be used to refinance existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

KeyBank successfully closed a line of credit for Flatiron Search Partners, LLC. Proceeds from the facility will be used to support working capital as they grow their business. Key acted as Sole Lender on the transaction. Key also provided a full cash management relationship and fraud protection, along with simplifying their online banking processes.

On May 7, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Joint Bookrunner on a $1 billion Senior Notes offering for Harvest Midstream I, L.P. Proceeds will be used to refinance existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

On May 6, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed the syndication of an undisclosed amount in Senior Secured Credit Facilities (the Credit Facilities) to support Siris Capital Group’s (Siris) acquisition of Takkion Group LLC (TAKKION or the Company). On May 6, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Exclusive Financial Advisor and Sole Placement Agent for the issuance of $324.8 million privately placed Senior Secured Notes (the Notes) for Axium Campus Housing LLC, 100% owned by AxInfra US LP and its affiliates (together, Axium). The net proceeds from the sale of the Notes will be used to refinance existing debt of the UMass Project Company, the Vanderbilt Project Company, and the Iowa Project Company (together, the Portfolio).

UMass Project (Slate Undergraduate) is a 253-unit housing facility entailing undergraduate apartment-style housing (623 beds) and related infrastructure, including a dining facility, a wellness space, and parking located on-campus at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. 

UMass Project (Artisan Graduate) is a 140-unit housing facility entailing graduate student apartment-style housing (201 beds) and related infrastructure located on-campus at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Vanderbilt Project is a 529-unit graduate and professional student housing facility (616 beds) located on-campus at Vanderbilt University.

Iowa Project is a 522-unit student housing facility (864 beds) located on-campus at the University of Iowa.

On May 4, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Co-Manager on an $800 million Senior Notes offering for Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Proceeds will be used to refinance existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

On May 1, 2026, KeyBank closed on a new $200 million credit facility (the Facility) for the Virtus Real Estate Enhanced Core Fund (VREEC). KeyBank serves as the Joint Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent for the Facility.

On April 30, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Administrative Agent, Coordinating Lead Arranger, Sole Bookrunner and Joint Lead Arranger on a $1.5 billion Senior Secured Revolving Credit Facility for Diversified Energy Company. Proceeds will be used to fund the acquisition of Haynesville Shale assets from Sheridan Production Company III, LLC and for general corporate purposes.

KeyBank Community Development Lending & Investment provided capital for the new construction of The Queen Senior apartments, a 49-unit senior affordable housing project in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 49 units will serve senior citizens earning no more than 20%-50% the AMI (Area Median Income). Supportive services will be offered to residents and will include health and wellness programs, lifeline services, social services, and counseling. KeyBank Community Development Lending & Investment provided capital for the new construction of The Medow on Seneca, a 70-unit affordable housing project in Ithaca, New York. 70 units will serve families and individuals earning no more than 30%-80% the AMI (Area Median Income). The project includes 35 supportive housing units consisting of 25 units supported by the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) and 10 units supported through the New York State Office of Mental Health Supportive Housing Single Room Occupancy (OMH SP-SRO) program. Supportive services will be provided by Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. (RSS) and will include case management, crisis response, living skill support, behavioral-health coordination employment readiness, and safety planning for domestic violence survivors. Through strategic acquisitions, the 91 new stores it has developed and opened in the past several years, and its steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement, Yesway continues to cement its position as one of the leading convenience retailers in the U.S.

The transaction includes a $54 million ($181,324/unit) non-recourse, first mortgage loan secured by a 298-unit, garden-style apartment known as Lakeview at Westpark, located in Richmond, Texas. Lakeview at Westpark consists of six three-split-story buildings and a one-story community building (5,820 square feet) for a total of seven (7) buildings. The property was built in 2021 and is situated on 11.02 acres of land. The proposed loan will be used to refinance the existing debt of the property. The loan is structured with a 35-year term and amortizes on a 35-year schedule.

On April 14, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets and Key Government Finance successfully closed $80 million of Senior Secured Credit Facilities for Redding Rancheria. The proceeds, in conjunction with equity contributions, will support the construction and development of the new Redding Rancheria Health Village.

This transaction represents Key’s second financing for Redding Rancheria and the second financing for the Native American Financial Services team secured solely by healthcare revenues. Key was selected to serve as Sole Lender and Structuring Agent due to its extensive experience financing Native American construction projects and deep-rooted relationship with Redding Rancheria.

Redding Rancheria is a federally recognized Tribe with Pit River, Wintu and Yana people and an established leader in the constructive development of its people, the larger Indian community and the Redding Region. Redding prides itself on tribal culture, history and identity by investing in its youth and adults to create a future with the strength of the ancestral lineage. Redding’s government and reservation is in the southwest area of Redding, California, where it operates various governmental services and provides healthcare to over 12,000 Native and non-Native citizens.

Redding Rancheria Health Village
In 1991, Redding operated a small facility to provide medical, behavioral and dental health services to Native Americans, which expanded into the 12,000-square-foot Churn Creek Road Facility. In 2012, Redding acquired their 33,000-square-foot Liberty Street Facility and expanded the operation of each program, and in 2022, constructed the 18,000-square-foot Trinity Health Center. In 2024, Redding opened its Center for Advanced Care, broadening access to specialty-driven services for its expanding patient base.

The Redding Rancheria Health System has evolved and expanded over the course of three decades to service both Native and non-Native populations, with a focus on the large and underserved Medicare and Medi-Cal population. The new visionary Health Village, opening in early 2027, will span 185,000 square feet and provide comprehensive, culturally centered health care, with a focus on holistic wellness. Eleven primary care providers and seven medical specialists will serve over 22,000 patients and enhance health and wellness care for the region.

On April 13, 2026, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Joint Bookrunner on a $600 million Senior Notes offering for Caturus Energy, LLC. Proceeds will be used to partially fund the acquisition of Galvan Ranch assets from SM Energy Company and for general corporate purposes.
