Summary
On October 6, 2021, KeyBanc Capital Markets (“KBCM") successfully closed on the syndication of an aggregate $1.2 Billion in Senior Secured Credit Facilities (the “Credit Facilities”) for Innovation Ventures, LLC (“5-hour ENERGY” or the “Company”). The Credit Facilities are comprised of an $860 Million Revolving Credit Facility and a $340 Million Term Loan. Proceeds of the Credit Facilities will be used to refinance existing indebtedness, finance a new Bottling Plant to support the launch of the Company’s new beverage product offering, and fund general working capital. KBCM acted as Joint Lead Arranger, Joint Bookrunner, and Administrative Agent for the transaction.
Founded in 2000 by Manoj Bhargava, Innovation Ventures, LLC pioneered the $1 Billion Energy Shot category with the introduction of the 5-hour ENERGY® shot. 5-hour ENERGY® is a liquid energy shot designed to provide a feeling of alertness for hours and is available in 1.93 oz. re-sealable bottles that require no refrigeration. The Company recently announced an expansion of its product offering, launching a new 16-oz carbonated energy beverage line, which will be distributed nationally.
