KeyBank Real Estate Capital provides commercial and multifamily permanent financing through a wide range of solutions, including commercial-backed mortgage security (CMBS) markets and via direct placements to insurance companies, pension funds, and separate accounts. Additionally, we provide fixed- and floating-rate non-recourse bridge financing to owners looking for short-term flexibility.

Our real estate professionals bring expertise in a wide variety of real estate segments including retail, office, industrial, self-storage, medical office, and multifamily with a unique ability to tailor lending solutions that meet a sponsor’s financing objectives.

We offer specialized banking teams that value our client relationships and strive to ensure the goals of our borrowers. This includes a deep understanding of the needs of public and private REITs (real estate investment trusts), or the project-level financing needs of a regional or local owner. Additionally, we retain the primary servicing relationship for most of our lending products, allowing dedicated KeyBank professionals to bring the skills and expertise of the industry’s highest-rated* servicer to our clients.

Key offers several options for financing:

  • CMBS
    We offer long-term, non-recourse commercial mortgage loans that are pooled and securitized. Key commits to retaining servicing of these loans; our highly rated servicing team strives to ensure client satisfaction throughout the life of the loan.
  • Life/Pension
    Key has direct relationships with a diverse group of institutional investor clients that finance properties. This group includes insurance companies and pension funds.
