(KBCM) served as the exclusive sell side advisor to Balanced Rock Power on its sale of a 450 megawatt (MW)/megawatt hour (MWh) utility-scale standalone storage asset to GridStor. Balanced Rock Power Overview – Moab, Utah
Founded in 2021, Balanced Rock Power is a qualified platform that specializes in the planning and development of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects to support the transition toward renewable energy, sustainability, and a clean energy landscape. The Company team has established a ~15 governmentwide acquisition contract (GWAC)/32 gigawatt-hour (GWh) development portfolio of diversified and actionable utility-scale solar, standalone battery storage, and solar + storage assets. Balanced Rock Power focuses development in the Western United States and is actively developing projects in Texas, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, California, Idaho, South Dakota, and Arizona.

GridStor Overview – Portland, Oregon
GridStor develops and operates battery facilities directly integrated with American power infrastructure. GridStor is backed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and comprises a team of seasoned energy professionals with a record of past accomplishments in energy storage and clean energy project acquisition, development, finance, and operations. GridStor’s target markets include regions seeing higher energy demand from unpredictable weather events, and areas at risk of increasing grid instability due to retirements of older and aging grid infrastructure and power plants.
