Some recent high grade and high yield deal examples include:

  • KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Bookrunner for Ball Corporation’s $1.0 billion bond offering. Ball (Ba1 / BB+) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of metal packaging to the beverage, food, personal care and household products industries. The 10-year transaction, which was upsized by $400 million, priced at 4.00% and received the lowest 10-year coupon on record for a high-yield transaction.
  • KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Left Bookrunner on Southwest Gas Corporation’s (Baa1 / A- / A) issuance of $250 million of 30-year Senior Notes. Despite the timing of the issue, specifically its proximity to the government shutdown, investor demand was high and the deal priced in line with comparable transactions. This marks the lowest 30-year coupon in the Company’s debt portfolio. Southwest Gas engages in the purchase, distribution, and transportation of natural gas in Arizona, Nevada, and California to approximately 1.9 million residential, commercial, and industrial natural gas customers.
  • Kodiak Oil & Gas Corp., an independent energy company, issued $400 million of 5.500% Senior Notes due in 2022. The offering was upsized by $100 million after receiving nearly $2 billion in orders. The company used the funds raised to repay credit facility indebtedness incurred for an acquisition in July 2013. KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Joint Book-Running Manager on the high yield offering.
