Summary
KeyBank Community Development Lending & Investment provided $7.8 million in capital for the new construction of Maplewood Commons, a 30-unit affordable housing development in Rutland, Vermont. All 30 units will serve families and individuals earning no more than 30%-80% of Area Median Income (AMI), and six units will be targeted to assist people who are currently experiencing homelessness. These six units will accept referrals from the Homeless Prevention Center (HPC), and after placement, they will receive critical supportive services connecting them to health care, counseling, mental health services, transportation, and income and benefit services. In addition, supportive services such as food and nutrition services and financial education will be offered to all residents. We want to thank Evernorth and Cornerstone Housing Partners for their sponsorship and shared mission to build much-needed affordable housing in Vermont.
The financing includes a $7.8 million construction loan.
