Summary
Key Community Development Lending & Investment provided $27.4 million in financing for the rehabilitation of Sundance Apartments, a 60-unit affordable housing building in Bakersfield, California. This project will serve families and individuals earning no more than 30-60% of Area Median Income. Supportive services will be offered to residents by LifeSTEPS, who provide effective educational and supportive services to maximize the strengths of individuals and build resilient communities. With more than 30 meaningful programs and services available including eviction prevention, Registered Nurse Coaching Program, Supportive Services for homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families, including those with physical and/or mental disabilities, youth services, service coordination, immigration services, client assistance, and thriving in place. We want to thank the Bettencourt Properties for their commitment to creating much-needed affordable housing in California.
The financing includes a construction loan (participation in conjunction with Banner Bank) and a permanent loan.
