Summary
KeyBanc Capital Markets, Inc. (KBCM) served as exclusive financial advisor to US Solar on its corporate capital raise from Macquarie Asset Management. The transaction closed on January 31, 2025.
KBCM was retained by US Solar to raise a strategic corporate capital facility to support their growth and accelerate the platform’s development of its community solar pipeline. KBCM leveraged existing relationships with leading capital providers to conduct a targeted one-phase process that resulted in multiple attractive offers which maximized competitive tension and ultimately optimized the terms of the facility. KBCM supported US Solar throughout the entire process, identifying prospective lenders, marketing the platform’s strategy around growth and value creation, and negotiating the structure and terms of the facility.

Founded in 2014, US Solar is a premier solar developer with a proven track record and fully integrated development and operating capabilities. The team has successfully originated, developed, contracted, and operates ~160 MW of solar projects, and is currently developing and constructing their 2GW pipeline across the U.S. US Solar’s vertically integrated team includes a seasoned asset management platform with an in-house billing and collections team. This cohesive structure ensures high-quality projects, supports seamless operations, and enables US Solar to capture every part of the solar development value stack.
