Using Face ID or Fingerprint Authentication
Use biometric sign-on to access your accounts in the KeyBank mobile app.
No two faces or fingerprints are exactly alike, so facial recognition and fingerprint authentication are the fastest, most secure ways to access your account. Depending on your smartphone, you could use one of these biometric authentication methods to quickly and easily sign on to the KeyBank mobile app.
Using Face ID for iPhone
Enable Face ID
On your iPhone, go to Settings, then Face ID & Passcode to enable this capability on your phone.
Sign on to the KeyBank mobile app
Select Face ID from the sign-on screen and follow the prompts. If you are using the app for the first time, you will be asked if you want to use Face ID and can follow the prompts for setup.
Using Touch ID for iPhone or Fingerprint for Android
Enable Fingerprint Authentication
On your phone, go to Settings and then Touch ID & Passcode (iPhone) or Privacy and Security, or Fingerprint (Android), and follow the prompts.
Sign on to the KeyBank mobile app
Select Touch ID (iPhone) or Fingerprint (Android) and follow the prompts. If you are using the app for the first time, you will be asked if you want to use fingerprint authentication and can follow the prompts for setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes, for example, after the mobile app is updated, your biometric authentication selection may be disabled. If this happens, you can turn it back on quickly and easily from the mobile app sign-on screen.
- Uncheck Save User ID.
Once you uncheck the box, the fields for username and password should both be blank. - Follow the prompts.
Re-enable your authentication method quickly and easily by following the on-screen prompts.
